It`s an interesting concept.Tupac in Heaven. He rapped about his own demise so much, one could say it was like he was obsessed with death-his own death,in particular. Some could also argue that he lived the life he wrote. As one mural dedicated to his memory says:''Live By The Gun Die By The Gun.''I don`t think Tupac got what he deserved-which I`ve heard some people say and which I believe some in the Local Law Enforcement Community in Las Vegas(and elsewhere in America) also believed.I think the Cops in Vegas saw it as this famous, troubled, violent, wild black thug(who was no stranger to frequent run-ins with the law) coming into the city and getting himself killed and to this day,I honestly don`t think the police were ever that interested in solving Tupac`s murder. As one journalist and author once said,I have a hard time imagining that if someone like Frank Sinatra or Justin Timberlake were murdered that way the case would go unsolved.
But when Tupac died,it certainly wasn`t shocking. Will Smith said in an Cover Story for GQ years ago about Tupac`s murder that it was just one of those things you could just see coming the guy`s way but you hoped he would avoid it.An unfortunate and untimely tragedy.
If there is an afterlife,I wouldn`t pretend to know where Tupac is.But looking at this great artwork,it would be nice to think that if there is an afterlife, wherever Pac is,he`s at peace.Great work.
